English summary
The Dutch Foundation for Corporate Universities (NSCU) was founded to boost corporate university development in the Netherlands.
NSCU fills a need
The initiators of NSCU noticed a strong need among organizations (both Dutch ones and subsidiaries of multinational firms) for structural knowledge development and exchange on corporate universities on a collaborative, non-commercial basis. To meet this need, the NSCU provides a Dutch platform where organizations can meet, exchange knowledge and realize joint research projects.
Members and aims
The members of the foundation are both private and governmental organizations, located in the Netherlands, with a corporate university or with plans to develop one. The NSCU aims to further the development and dissemination of knowledge on corporate universities through the exchange of experiences among its members, an in-house research programme and support for scholarly research. The guiding principle for all of its activities is: 'by its members, for its members'.
Activities
The NSCU publishes a newsletter and organizes conferences and site visits to Dutch corporate universities. In addition, the members of the foundation will support eachother with developing or setting up a corporate university. Finally, the NSCU will grant an annual award to a person or organization that contributed significantly to corporate university development in the Netherlands.
